What we build.

Gren Pools team spraying gunite into a steel-reinforced pool shell at a Cape Town home

Concrete pool construction

Steel-reinforced gunite shells engineered for your site, your soil and your slope. Any shape, any depth, built to outlast the house.

  • Custom geometry
  • Engineer-signed shells
  • Marbelite or tiled finish
Newly installed rectangular fibreglass pool in a walled Cape Town courtyard garden

Fibreglass pool installation

A factory-moulded shell craned in and commissioned. The fastest route from bare garden to swimming, usually inside two weeks.

  • Two week install
  • Smooth non-porous shell
  • Lower chemical demand
Renovated swimming pool with fresh marbelite and mosaic waterline tiles in a leafy Constantia garden

Renovations and remarbeliting

Tired pool, leaking shell, dated finish. We strip it back, fix the structure and hand back something you want to swim in.

  • Leak detection
  • Remarbelite and retile
  • Coping replacement
Sheer descent water feature spilling over charcoal stone cladding into a blue pool

Water features and spas

Spillover spas, sheer descents and raised edges. The details that separate a pool from a courtyard you actually sit in.

  • Spillover spas
  • Sheer descent weirs
  • Stone and mosaic cladding

Servicing and repairs

Pumps, filters, chlorinators and weekly care. Cape Town water is hard on equipment, so we keep yours honest.

  • Solar and heat pumps
  • Scheduled servicing

How a Gren Pools build runs.

  1. Site visit

We walk the garden with you, check access, soil and levels, and tell you honestly what the site allows.

  2. Design and quote

You get a scaled layout and a fixed itemised quote. No provisional sums that quietly grow later.

  3. Excavate and build

Excavation, steel, plumbing and gunite. Your project manager sends photo updates at each stage.

  4. Finish and fill

Marbelite or tiling, coping, decking and equipment commissioning, then we fill and balance the water.

  5. Hand over

We walk you through the plant room, leave written care instructions and register your guarantee.

How we work

The quote is the price.

We price the job after walking the site, itemise it, and hold it. No provisional sums that grow once the excavator is already in your garden.

You are not chasing us for updates.

One project manager owns your build from excavation to handover, and sends photographs at each stage so you can see the work without driving home.

We build across the Cape Peninsula.

From the West Coast through the Atlantic Seaboard and Southern Suburbs, out to the Winelands. If your suburb is not listed, ask anyway.

Questions we get asked.

What does a swimming pool cost in Cape Town?

A standard fibreglass installation typically starts around R180 000 fully commissioned. A custom concrete pool usually runs from R280 000 upward depending on size, site access, finishes and decking. We quote a fixed itemised price after the site visit rather than a range that moves later.

How long does installation take?

A fibreglass shell is usually swimming within two weeks. A concrete pool runs six to ten weeks from excavation to handover, depending on weather, finishes and how quickly the site drains after Cape rain.

Do I need council approval for a pool?

In the City of Cape Town a pool needs approved building plans, and the fence or barrier must meet SANS 10134 safety requirements. We prepare the drawings and submit on your behalf as part of the build.

Concrete or fibreglass, which is better?

Fibreglass is faster, cheaper and easier to maintain, but you are choosing from fixed moulded shapes and sizes. Concrete costs more and takes longer, but it fits any shape, any depth and any awkward site. On a tight or sloped Cape Town plot, concrete is often the only option that works.

Which areas do you cover?

We build across the greater Cape Town metro, from Bloubergstrand and Table View through the Atlantic Seaboard and Southern Suburbs, out to Durbanville, Somerset West and Stellenbosch.

What guarantee do you offer?

Ten years on the pool structure and one year on equipment and workmanship, backed by the manufacturer warranties on pumps and filters. It is registered in writing at handover.
